Pokes in the Pros: Fantastic season for Floyd ends

With the San Diego Chargers17-14 loss to the New York Jets last Saturday came the end of a breakout season for former Poke wideout Malcom Floyd. The Chargers #2 WR had careers highs in receptions and yards in his fifth season in the league and showed a great chemistry with QB Phillip Rivers. For the season Floyd totaled 45 receptions for 776 yards and a touchdown. He was the third leading receiver on the team behind Vincent Jackson and TE Antonio Gates.

Floyd had a reception every game this season minus one. His biggest game was in Week 17 against the Redskins where he had 9 catches for 140 yards. In the playoff game versus the Jets Floyd hauled in 3 passes for 30 yards.

If you're a fantasy football junkie like me then you should keep your eyes on Floyd during your league draft. The Chargers have a potent offense and Rivers has really formed a sharp connection with Floyd over the last couple seasons.
