Mountain West Players of the Week


The awards this week have a big time San Diego flavor. Full release from the MWC.

Offense

RYAN LINDLEY, SAN DIEGO STATE
Sophomore, Quarterback, Lakeside, Calif./El Capitan HS


Went 29 for 43 for459 yards and six touchdowns as the Aztecs put in an amazing second half to upset the CSU Rams 42-28 on the road.


DeMARCO SAMPSON, SAN DIEGO STATE
Senior, Wide Receiver, Chula Vista, Calif./Castle Park HS

Filling in for the injured Vincent Brown, Sampson pulled in career highs of 15 catches for 257 yards and 3 TD's. His 257 yards rank him second in the nation so far this year.


Defense

JASON BEAUCHAMP, UNLV
Senior, Linebacker/Defensive End, San Diego, Calif./Steele Canyon HS


9 tackles (six solo), two sacks, three tackles for loss and a forced fumble in a victory over the New Mexico Lobos.


Special Teams

SEAN SELLWOOD, UTAH
Freshman, Punter, Salt Lake City, Utah/Judge Memorial HS


Averaged 48.1 yards on eight punts in a OT victory over Air Force.
