Devin Moore signs with Colts

Former UW RB Devin Moore recently signed a contract with his hometown Indianapolis Colts. The Indiana native spent last season on the Seattle Seahawks practice squad. Hopefully the Colts will give Moore a chance to show his stuff on the field. Moore is the all time leading rusher in Cowboy history.

Moore is actually back in Laramie at the moment finishing up his six remaining credits to earn his degree. Great to see him take advantage of the off season to complete his education.

Devin Moore back with the Seahawks

According to an ESPN article the Seahawks have resigned Devin Moore to their practice squad following their release of RB Edgerrin James on Monday.

James is a good guy but never fit in with the Hawks this season. He has decided he needs to spend more time with his children.
We're glad that Devin Moore is back in the NFL but he probably won't be signed from the practice squad unless they Seahawks really wise up and dump Julius Jones.

Devin Moore released from Seahawks practice squad

Devin Moore released from Seahawks practice squad
According to a Rotoworld.com player update former Wyoming RB Devin Moore was cut from the Seattle Seahawks practice squad on September 30th. Moore was signed by the Seahawks in April as a non drafted free agent following the 2009 NFL Draft. In the preseason Moore lead the team with 45 rushes and 145 yards. He also had the only rushing TD for the Hawks during the preseason.
Instead the Seahawks are overpaying underachieving Julius Jones and over the hill Edgerrin James to try and run the ball with little success. They should at least give Justin Forsett some carries as he can actually accelerate out of the backfield.
Hopefully Moore will sign on with another team this season or keep working for a roster spot next year.
