DC says the depth and competition will be at a much higher level this year at every position.
The incoming freshman are now on campus and ready to show off their stuff.
A few names to keep your eye on over the next month:
- RB Nehemie Kankolongo who practiced with the first team after Alvester Alexander suffered a knee injury back in the spring. Kankolongo practiced with the first team this spring after enrolling early. Should be a great battle at halfback.
- A couple recruits didn't make the grades during their senior year and weren't academically eligible to play this season. RB Evan Williams out of Minnesota and JUCO DB Austin Daniels won't be on the roster this year. I had high hopes for Williams who has a pretty impressive highlight video and also played QB.
- LB Oliver Schrober had a pick already and is an impressive physical speciman. It will be hard to keep off the field this Fall.
- ATH Darrenn White practiced with the DB's. White played QB in HS but could also see time at RB if needed.
- WR Mazi Obgonna brings a nice burst of speed and will help open the field up for ACS.
I'll keep you posted on any other news that pops up as the camp progresses. And when the new site is ready to launch you can expect much more news and activity. I'm sure you'll be very impressed with the new digs.
